And honestly, Paris is awful at this kind of thing. Funnelling the entire city onto public transport just before 21h is going to result in overcrowded train carriages, causing the exact kind of virus transmission any curfew is supposed to prevent.

On March 17, when the lockdown began here in France, the country saw 1097 new infections.

Yesterday, there were 22951 new infections. The highest recorded was 26896, on October 10th.

France should consider a second lockdown instead of just a curfew. If people shouldn't be going to bars, then they shouldn't be going to offices or schools either. Especially considering most transmission is currently happening in workplaces and universities.
